Remotely Monitor Power, Temperature, More
The GN0116 "Guardian over the NET" appliance provides a remotely (TCP/IP) accessible environmental monitoring and management station for administrators. Targeted for use in large enterprise data centers, up to 255 GN0116 units can be daisy-chained from the original unit.
Management of the unit is via a Web browser GUI interface and RJ-45 connections (IE5.5+; Netscape 8 can be used if set to use the IE compatible rendering engine) or the vendor's included ssConsole (Serial Server Console) management application. Communications are protected via 128-bit SSL encryption. Two-level security controls (administrator, user) are provided, and the unit supports access by up to one administrator and four users simultaneously.
Environmental conditions can be monitored individually over each port; temperature, power (voltage and current), and humidity can each be monitored via the appliance with multiple power outlets (8) manageable by the unit. The GN0116 ships with two sets of temperature sensors, cables (AC input power, RJ-45, RS-232 to RJ-45, and 8 outlet power cords for countries utilizing 220-250V power sources), and a rack mount kit.
Connectivity options for the device include 4 AC power inlets, 8 AC power outlets, LAN and serial ports, 485 input and output, and multiple sensor jacks.
The GN0116 is priced at $1,900. Contact ATEN for further information.
