Minicom KVM Switches

Dual and Multi-User KVM Switches

Among the multiple KVM products in the Minicom catalog targeted to single or dual user access are:

- The Smart 216 (also available with 32 ports - Smart 232), is a KVM switch enabling multi-user access, control and management of multiple servers. It allows two users to control up to 16 mixed-platform (PS/2 & USB) servers. It also provide power control via RPS.

The Smart 216 is a 1U rack-mountable device that features Minicom KVM over CAT5 technology, which directly connects the switch to each computer in the server room via a Ricc/Roc, extending the distance between server and switch up to 30m/100ft.

- The Smart 216 IP (also available with 32 ports - Smart 232 IP), enables one local and two remote users to access and control of up to 16 servers. In addition, two remote users can operate serial sessions for controlling serial devices such as routers, managed network switches or PDUs.

Like the 216/232 above, these 1U switches feature Minicom KVM over CAT5 technology that directly connects the switch to each computer in the server room. The Smart 216 IP has a built-in web server enabling two remote users access to target servers via a single IP address.

The "Smart" line of switches all offer integration into Minicom's centralized management system (KVM.net II).

Minicom utilizes 128-bit SSL for data protection.
